More about these Fabulous Fabric Crowns:

My English Paper Pieced Crowns sewing patterns were developed to stop the waste of paper crowns in Christmas Crackers.  They can be made and used anytime of the year though and these are perfect for any party!

English Paper Piecing is a patchwork technique of folding fabric around paper (called basting) then sewing the pieces together into a whole.

Included in this is:

  • 3 different handmade crown sewing downloadable patterns.
    • A Tiny Crown - Quickest to make
    • A Bigger Crown - Takes a little longer to make
    • A Round Crown - Uses round paper pieces for a bit more of a challenge.
  • Full written instructions
  • All the Videos Showing you how to actually SEW your Crowns
  • A special bonus hack to unlock once you have made your first crown!

🪡 Wondering what you will need:

  • Printer to be able to print the patterns/templates
  • Fabric - A selection of fat quarter size pieces will do the largest size piece is: 14x62cm (5.5”x24”)
  • Iron on fusible Interfacing - Optional
  • Needles and thread - I use a Clover Black Gold applique needle but any thin needle will suffice
  • Small piece of Elastic - approx 10cm by 2cm
  • Glue - optional (for glue basting)
  • Iron and a Sewing Machine

Most of the work is sewn by hand - you can completely sew everything by hand but if you have a sewing machine the final step will be much quicker.

Let's get sewing!
