The Tiny House Book

The Tiny House Book sewing pattern is a multi-pattern/idea that can be truly customisable to make a really unique gift or keepsake.  It’s perfect for using those little scraps and precious fabrics.

The Tiny House Book Pattern has 3 different pages, door, window and bed which turns into a 6 page busy book.

What you are going to need?

The Tiny House Book is a sewn together handmade book using patchwork techniques.  You will need to have some knowledge of how to sew.  I will be talking you through some of the steps on how to create the Tiny House Book at some of the trickier stages.  This a self lead course to walk you through the Tiny House Book steps.  You can join the Tiny House Book group to ask for help but I also offer the opportunity for 1:1 help if you are struggling beyond basic help!

You will need:

Fabric and threads

If you have a cotton fabric collection already, this is great, you are probably good to go.  I recommend good quality 100% cotton patchwork & quilting fabrics.  If you are starting this from owning zero you will be able to manage on a small bundle of Fat Quarter fabrics 4-5 different colours.   You will also need some "white" fabric for the window and door frames.

Notions

Needles and scissors.   All the measurements in the Tiny House Book pattern are based on Patchwork/Quilting sizes - in inches!  A Quilting Ruler, cutting mat and cutting blade will be very useful.

Sewing Machine

Having a sewing machine for this project will make the process quicker.  It will be possible to sew this book completely by hand, it will take you longer than a month!
